DIY Natural Face Wash + Ways to Customize it for You
This DIY Natural Face Wash is fantastic. It is gentle, acne clearing, and great for you skin. With all of the new information coming out about the toxic chemicals in the cleaning products around our house, it was only a matter of time before I finally started to upgrade my beauty supplies. This natural and gentle face wash cleanser is so perfect for daily use. It leaves me feeling clean and it’s just a few simple ingredients. It’s so much better than the commercial options and way cheaper than the store bought natural lines!

Castile Soap is a vegetable based, gentle cleanser that is really good at fighting against unwanted germs. Plus, you can pronounce all of the ingredients :) I use Dr. Bronner's brand and it is more and more readily available in stores. I see it at target and my local grocery store! It can be found on amazon too, if you’re like me and shop for everything on Amazon.
This is where the customization come in. You want to choose an oil that works best for YOUR skin. I find that Jojoba Oil is my favorite!
Jojoba Oil - Lightweight and Rich in Vitamin E. It’s ideal for oily skin because while it is hydrating, it also draws the impurities from the skin without stripping it. Bonus: it can be stored indefinitely without going bad.
Almond Oil - Full of anti-oxidants and is good for all skin types. It is fast absorbing and can really help dry skin.
Olive Oil - Known for its moisturizing properties and it can help calm skin inflammation.
Aloe Vera Gel
Aloe Vera Gel is a moisturizing compound, good for all skin types, that can help reduce inflammation (acne control) and promote the growth of new cells
There are many essential oils that have great skin properties. I personally don’t put any in my soap, but you definitely can! Add about 5 drops to this recipe and you’re good to go!
Lavender Oil - Soothing and can help reduce scarring and speed healing
Tea Tree Oil - Helps with Acne-Prone Skin and Skin Impurities
Frankincense Oil - Good for Anti-Aging and Fine Lines
