I’m always looking for healthy dishes that are easy to make. There is really nothing worse than trying to eat healthy but stressing out about how much work is going into your dinner prep. You all know, I only make a dinner recipe during the week if it can get on the table in 30 minutes or less. 45 if it’s something I’m really looking forward too!
Salmon in and of itself is not my favorite food, so I have to dress it up with flavors and sauces. I used to make a recipe that was absolutely delicious, but it was not healthy. It was brown sugar and soy sauce (maybe I’ll share it one day because it was still very good!). So we decided the last time we were whole30-ing that we needed to use a different recipe! Salmon is good for you with all it’s vitamin D and omega-3’s that are good for your brain and bones, so I try to keep it in our meal rotation! This recipe really makes me change my mind about how I feel about salmon, I actually ENJOY this Garlic & Rosemary Salmon Recipe, so I know you will too.
When possible, try to get wild caught salmon. It’s more expensive, but so much better for you! Tips for Making Garlic & Rosemary Salmon
Use fresh garlic and fresh rosemary. I used the rosemary from my garden and it added such robust flavor! Check out this post about starting a garden!
Asparagus, Brussels Sprouts, and Broccoli make great sides for this dish!
We also like to make a rice as a side because we don’t find salmon to be super filling meal. If you are grain free, a sweet potato or butternut squash could be a good alternative!
