Whole 30 - Week 2 Update

Okay, I should start by saying I cheated and I did it on purpose. I also might cheat again now that the Cubs are going to the World Series and will probably go out for some of the games.

I was in a terrible mood and not feeling well AT ALL this week. I'm not sure why, but I don't think Ryan and I were eating enough food during the day and we just felt like garbage. 

We looked at each other and said THIS IS NOT HOW IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE! We have taken great strides with our nutrition this past year and have really eliminated bad foods most of the time. We would go through spurts though and eat bad more often than we should. We agreed to do this 30 days because we both have some body goals to reach.

We went out for pizza last night. It was delicious and worth it to me! When your husband says you are not a pleasure to be around you know something is wrong!!!!

So, we ate the pizza and agreed that we would continue our Whole30 today. 

Secondly, I should add that whole30 is not designed to be about weight loss, it is designed to help you with your relationship with food. Mine clearly needs some work (see above) but I do think it is a big step for me to eat bad one evening and wake up and start fresh the next. Not use that as an excuse to binge!

I did step on the scale yesterday morning since I was having so many doubts. I am down 8 lbs in the past 2 weeks and have definitely lost inches around my waist. 

I needed the motivation!!!

So here is to a new week and keeping up with our Whole30! (technically we're only doing 26 days) We are upping our workouts this week and staying the course.
